Frequently asked
- Where is my data? Only on your iPhone. PromptWhisker has no server, no account, and makes no network connections. See the privacy policy.
- How do I enable the PromptWhisker keyboard? Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards › Add New Keyboard › PromptWhisker. Then hold the globe key in a text field that allows custom keyboards and pick PromptWhisker.
- Deck or list? In PromptWhisker, Settings › PromptWhisker keyboard › Keyboard style switches between the Prompt Deck (pads), a text list, and a list with pictures; a new library starts on the Prompt Deck. On the keyboard’s Deck, the chips next to Add switch between your decks; tap a pad to insert its prompt, hold it to see its name.
- Why does the keyboard offer “Allow Full Access”? Reading your prompts never needs it. It is only required if you want the keyboard’s “Add” button to hand selected text back to the app. Even with Full Access on, PromptWhisker does not transmit your prompts — the app has no network code at all.
- How do I back up my vault? Settings › Backup & Transfer › Prepare export, then share the single PromptWhisker-Export.json file — you own it. It holds your prompts and their versions, collections, variables, decks and settings. Pictures you attached (prompt previews, Deck-key images, collection backgrounds) stay on the device and are not part of the file. Bring it onto any device running PromptWhisker with Import from JSON.
- Prompt Doctor and the other intelligence features are missing. They run on Apple Intelligence (iOS 26 on eligible devices) and appear only on devices and iOS versions that provide it. Settings › Intelligence shows what this device supports. The library, packs, Composer and keyboard do not depend on it.
